Today wasn't an exciting day as it was our longest driving day of the trip. Not all that fun! We woke up in Bayeux, took a few pictures, and bought our breakfast and lunch. We bought pastries and juice for breakfast and a baguette and brie for lunch.
This is the building across from our hotel. The flowers were in bloom, which I like.

This is behind our hotel. This was an old section of the town that was characteristic (that's what they call it at least).

Aaron with the scenery. It was a cool but sunny morning. We were driving all day, so that weather had to be beautiful.

Here I am with the baguette. It was a big one! That is the cathedral and our hotel is the white building.

This is what Aaron did all day. Looks like fun, right? He was a trooper and drove all the way (900ish kilometers). I think he was frightened of my driving :) I do have to say that all of Western Europe starts to look the same after so much driving (at least until we got to Switzerland).

Our trip was from Bayeux, which is up near the coast, back past Paris, across Fronce through Dijon, into Switzerland through Basel, and to Weggis on Lake Lucerne. We checked in to our hotel, Seehof du Lac, and took a walk around town. There wasn't a whole lot there but hotels (and not all were open yet), but the scenery was really pretty.
This is Aaron on our walk. We had Cordon Blue (pork) for dinner (seemed to be the specialty of the area) and drank a beer. We got over our sticker shock of the prices in Switzerland with that dinner. Yikes! Switzerland is expensive!
