Drive to Berlin

We woke up this morning and had weisswurst and pretzels with our friends A&H in Ulm. We enjoyed the view from their apartment. This was a goodbye to them and also their apartment since they are moving to Munich. Here are two pictures of the Munster (church - tallest church in Europe).
We then started our drive to Berlin (well, I rode, Aaron drove). After about 4 hours of driving we made a stop at our favorite town. Check out Aaron indicating the direction to go :)
Yes, we visited Gerega, Germany! These are two pictures of the town. It was really, really small, but fun to see!
The self portrait back into Gerega.
We then finished the 2 hours of driving into Berlin. We checked into our hotel, Pension Bregenz. It is a nice (and cheap) little place with a nice walk to get to the tourist areas. We dropped off our stuff and went for a walk. We visited the memorial church, the outside of the zoo, and some shops. Here I am outside of the zoo.
This is the view into the zoo. We hope to visit in the next two days.
This is an interesting picture that Aaron took while messing around with the camera.
Here I am with a bear...they have these everywhere but with different designs. One important dude in Berlin's early history had a nickname of the bear (we learned on our tour but don't exactly remember the details).

We had dinner at a good Indian restaurant and then came back to the hotel. I don't know why, but I am exhausted. I didn't even do anything but watch Aaron drive!

I have to admit - I was kind of partial to the Gerega town pictures... LOL I printed them out (well - I think I printed them out, I haven't actually walked downstairs to see if it worked) so that I can take them to Grammers to show her. I loved the shot with the bear and Kelly! I wonder if they did the same thing we did with the horses and Canandaigua did with the deer - some kind of benefit... Hmmmm?

Imagine that, a town called Gerega! Nifty. The other words on the sign-what do they translate into?

So did you know about this town or did you just happen to see it on your way? Good picture, but Aaron is kind of pointing the wrong way though.
