Yes, we are still alive. Things have been crazy around here the past week or so. We had to organize and inventory everything, and that takes a ton of time. Of course, we also have been having some fun in between (a party, dinners, a bike ride). Yeah, we were slackers :) Sunday night was only 4 hours of sleep because of it. Oh well...we had fun and survived the first day of moving yesterday (Monday). It certainly was an interesting experience. They were going so fast for the first 3 hours, but after that they slowed down to a snail's pace. They packed the kitchen, living room, all of our clothes and shoes, and the stuff in the hallway. They took the air shipment to their warehouse, and that was all. They certainly had the time to finish all the packing if they had wanted.
The Italian style of moving is very different than the American style. They use bubble wrap for everything instead of boxes. It is pretty funny to see especially since they didn't disassemble anything. I was laughing pretty hard when I saw it. Here is the dining room. Can anyone identify the pieces?
And the living room.
You’ll figure this one out :)

It is going to be a pain to carry some of these things. I’m glad I don’t have to do it. Right now they are packing all of this into the truck. I hope they get it there, but I’m not counting on it. It is Italy :)
***Nha - I’m sorry to say that our bikes are going by sea…that means we won’t be biking until July (most likely). That is if they survive (they are wrapped in bubble wrap).

Funny! The picture of your dinning table - ha! You would have thought to take the legs off and then wrap everything up in bubble wrap. But they literally just wrapped it and then taped it. *smacks forehead, rolls eyes* The chairs look good though.
That's too bad about the bikes taking the scenic route home. We can always go mountain biking

mehehehe.
But at least you'll have your camera. We'll go shoot some stuff.
Nice packing job. It'll be easy to unpack. No assembly required. :)
It'll give you time to paint and re-rug... and all that fun stuff that is so much harder to do with actual furniture in the house. Hmmmm... Maybe I should pretend I'm moving and have everything removed and put in a shipper... Yeah - that might work.
