Saturday - Matera (Part 2)

See part 1 below for the pictures of the town of Matera. I apologize for so many photos, but I couldn't choose. Maybe Aaron can sort through them a little better than I could :)

These are the pictures from our drive back from Matera to Montepaolo. It was really pretty, and the rain coming through the area provided some interesting skies.

These first set of photos are from a field that was about 15km outside of Matera. The sun was coming down and they were a really beautiful green. It was perfect for pictures :) I didn't do any editing except the one or two noted below.

Me in a wonderful pose with some funny hair :)

Aaron in the car. Yeah, he didn't get out but was taking pictures from the car.

I don't know what the heck this thing is, but I think it made a pretty good photo!

A trullo next to the road.

This is a cherry tree. The picture really doesn't capture it, but the contrasting colors of the auburn dirt, the white tree, and the blue sky was beautiful.

This was a field of yellow wildflowers that we spent a long time photographing while the sun was setting.

These next two photos highlight the difference in photographic styles. This is my perspective. I chose to focus on the yellow of the flowers.

Aaron chose to focus more on the blue sky. They are both interesting photos, but very different perspectives :)

I like this one that Aaron took. The angel rays are cool.

Aaron with the brighter yellows of the flowers.

And Aaron taking photos in the sunshine. I took this from the car. This was was actually cropped a little because I was being lazy and got the mirror in there :)

I couldn't decide which one I liked better, but this one didn't need the cropping :)

Another cool shot of the sun coming through the clouds by Aaron. He definitely is getting good at these.

Me in the car waiting for Aaron to finish his photos. I was cold!

Yeah, what is that thing? It's quite strange to be in the middle of the field.

Kelly, nice pictures with the sunset in the background with Aaron taking photo.

Amazing pictures. Such great lighting and scenery. Maybe I need some tips before we travel across country this fall!
