Saturday was our travel day to Austria. We got up, had breakfast, and headed to the Hauptbanhof (main train station for our train). We had a crappy Italian train to Worgl where we changed to the nicer trains. We had about an hour in Worgl where we just hung out. It was our first indication of the week's weather.
Here is Aaron (and Matt) waiting outside. In the sun, it was too warm for a coat.
Our next train was a surprise...we realized that we had first class (duh). We must have gotten upgraded in our special price. Here I am in the train. I think the buildings in the background are Innsbruck (or someplace around there). Yes, I'm a dork :)
The train ride wasn't fantastic because we had 8 loud Californians talking loudly for about 90 minutes. Irritating!
Anyway, we made it to St. Anton and the nice woman that owned Haus Lydia, our accomodations, picked us up from the train station (thank goodness). She took us to our apartment, and yeah, it was nice.
Here is the view from our balcony. Nice, huh? Aaron was an awesome travel agent for this trip!
Here I am in the kitchen. Super nice!
Big butt at the kitchen table. Matt's room is what you can see here.
Our room. This was taken 2 minutes after arrival. A short amount of time, and we already made a mess.
Aaron in front of the house. They have 3 apartments for rent and live in the rest. It is an awesome place!
Aaron and Matt on the walk down to the supermarket (big building on the very right side of the picture.
This is the photo of St. Jakob, where our apartment was. We had to take a ski bus over to St. Anton for the lifts (or walk about 15-20 minutes). Our apartment was right next to the church.
Not much else for this day :) We relaxed, walked around the town, and played some games. A nice, relaxing day!
Ciao ciao!

The only thing I can say is the scenery is beautiful. Did you bring your DSLR? Those mountains would look great during sunrise/sunset.
I finally managed to find a few minutes to check this out and it looks like an incredible place for some crazy skiers to vacation. Haven't heard any stories from Matt yet so I'm looking to connect these pictures with his memories... Sorry - I can't find my instructions on how to leave a name - so anonymous, I will remain. Love - Mom G
